Philosophy:
While I am a firm believer in Do it Yourself (DIY), most of my problems with this business is that most people don’t have the proper tools to apply many of the modifications I supply. I am not saying people don’t have the skill or ability; they just don’t have the extensive test equipment required to fine-tune some of the kits, so I spend 70% of my time to support 20% of my sales…..not a good business model. In 2010 I will spend more time on the core business, which is designing, modifying and selling complete turntables. Of course, if you are reading this, you have already come to the conclusion that, a good vinyl pressing, played on a well designed and modified set, can far exceed the sound quality of even the best CD’s. Finally, I have developed a number of friends over the last couple of years, most of whom I have never met, but we share the same goals. These friends also market their wares via the Web and are experts in their own right. It is not my intent, nor do I have interest in competing against these friends and to that end, have attempted to market my products at points of differentiation. I will continue to support these friends by providing links to their sites, and many times will send you to them if I think they might provide a service more appropriate to their area of expertise and your needs. This venture is about progressing the art form first; profitability then becomes secondary.
