Happy 2008 from
Sound of the
Wood™
In many ways it was a bit to busy as I found myself wishing I had a bit more time to listen and create.
Having said that it is no time to stand still, and to that end Sound of the Wood™ will be launching several new products to support the Vinyl addiction in 2008.
Of course I will continue to supply and offer great modification parts and services for AR tables, although my highest concentration will be with the AR ETL-1 Research Series of tables.
I have also been collaborating with Rick Collins in the design of a new turntable. Rick has some great design ideas which are yielding some impressive results, and I look forward to this new offering.
In 2008, we will be offering a new 22vac synchronous motor and external power supply, which will rival the motor and supply used in the ETL-1 Research series of tables for quietness and low EMI values. This set (external power supply and motor) will be available by mid/late February. I have also had the 115vac motor redesigned to provide lower noise and better stability without the extended break-in time required by the original Sound of the Wood™ 115vac model.
David Plummer of Audio Specialty Co. (http://www.audiospecialtyco.com) continues to do great work for Sound of the Wood™ and I believe we have a few great new products coming out this year under the Sound of the Wood™ brand.
